Get in Touch

I love hearing from readers, collectors, and fellow vintage sci-fi obsessives. Whether you have a question, a recommendation, spotted an error, or just want to talk about why The Stars My Destination deserves more love… drop me a line.

Email Me

📧 [reggie @v intagescificlassics.com]

This is the best way to reach me for anything substantial.

I typically reply within 2–3 business days. Sometimes faster if I’m between deep dives into obscure New Wave authors. Sometimes slower if I’m elbow-deep in estate sale paperback boxes with no cell signal.

What You Can Email Me About

Questions:

  • “I’m new, what’s a good [book] to start with?”
  • “I loved [this film]… what should I watch next?”
  • “How do I start collecting without going broke?”

Recommendations:

  • “You need to cover [author/book/film] on the site.”
  • “Have you read/seen [obscure gem]?”
  • “Here’s a thrift store find you’d appreciate…”

Corrections:

  • “You got the publication year wrong on [X].”
  • “That’s not the right cover artist.”
  • “Actually, the Criterion release is better than the standard Blu-ray because…”

I want to know. I’d rather fix an error than leave it up.

What Not to Email Me About

Asking me to appraise your collection.
I’m not a rare book dealer, and valuations are tricky. Try AbeBooks or a local rare book specialist.

Asking me to buy your collection.
I’m a collector, not a dealer. If you’re selling, try eBay, AbeBooks, or local used bookstores.

Spam, MLM pitches, crypto schemes, or “guest post” offers that are thinly veiled link farms.
Instant delete.

Comments

I don’t have a comments section on posts yet (it’s on the to-do list), but I do read every email.

If you have thoughts on a specific post, just email me the link and your take. I love hearing what resonates, what you disagree with, and what I missed.

A Quick Note on Response Times

I run this site solo while juggling many other responsibilities. That means:

  • I read every email, but I can’t always reply to everything immediately.
  • Detailed questions get detailed answers, which sometimes takes a few days.
  • Short notes (“loved this post!”) might get a quick thank-you, or might just get filed in my “makes my day” folder if I’m swamped.

I appreciate your patience. Running a one-person website about 70-year-old paperbacks is a labor of love, not a corporate operation.

One Last Thing

If you’ve found this site helpful – if a post led you to a great book, helped you find a deal, or just made you smile – the best thing you can do is share it.

Send a link to a friend who’d appreciate it.
Pin a post to Pinterest.
Mention it in a Reddit thread where it’s actually relevant.

Word of mouth is how sites like this grow, and I appreciate every share more than you know.

Thanks for being here.
